TheVolkan450 is a powerful incinerator featuring an integral after-burnermaking it compliant withEuropean legislation. It is
ideal for the disposal of poultry, pigs, sheep, large sized animal carcasses and farm shopwaste.
It is aDEFRA ‘TypeApproved’, easy to use, top-loading incinerator, providing clear access for ease of manual ormechanical
loading. All controls are placed away from the loading area to avoiddamage by loadingmachinery.
Once the incinerator has been loaded, a burn program is selected and the incinerator can be left unattended until the
carcass reduces to ash. It is highly efficient, utilising automatedburner controlswith low thermal mass linings that ensure
minimal running costs; a thermostat triggers burner shut off when optimum temperatures are reached, ensuring optimum fuel
efficiency. Themodel is alsodesigned to use the inherent fuel propertieswithin animal fat that aid combustion.
It is fittedwith a secondary chamber for ABPR1069/2009EU legislation compliance and for cleaner emissions. It is also fitted
with internal hearth bars and a door for easy ash removal whilst the unit remains in continuous operation.
Easily installed on site, it simply requires concrete hard-standing and a
230 volt electricity and fuel supply.With a burn rate of up to 50kgper hour
(VolkanPro 450 up to 120kgper hour), the incinerator retains low capacity
status and requires noplanningpermission for farm usage.
