PayingYour Fees
As a resident, youwill have a Licence (contained
within this booklet).Thiswill entitle you to
occupy a room for thewhole duration of your
LicenceAgreement as detailed on your on-line
Bookings Detail page, inclusive of Christmas and
Easter vacations. (Rooms should be vacated by
10.00am on the last day of your licence period.)
Residential fees are charged for thewhole
duration of your LicenceAgreement and youwill
be issuedwith an invoice that is payable each
term.This coversTerm 1 and the Christmas
vacation; Term 2 and the Easter vacation; Term
3 until the last day of your licence period. (This
is inclusive of utility charges.) Once youhave
received your invoice, you shouldmake your
payment by credit card or bank transfer. If you are

TheUniversity reserves the right to adjust fees
and other charges - should this apply to you, the
Universitywill write to you as soon as possible.
Should any additional fees be payable, due to the
unauthoriseduse of a room, theywill be the

Reception at Harriet Martineau Buildingwhich is openMon – Fri up to 7.00pm
and onweekends until 5.30pm, after that theDuty Postgraduates are on call.
Asmembers of maintenance staff are unable to give notice of their visits,
please ask any unfamiliar visitor to produce identification as a safetymeasure.
Deposit
Your deposit serves a dual purpose - as acceptance of the RoomBooking offer
and a deposit against any damage or cleaning charges that may be incurred.
Leaving your Room
Leaving your accommodationduring the LicencePeriod
If youwish to vacate your room before the end of your Licence period, you need to obtain and
complete aVacate Residences Form.The form can be obtained from either your ResidenceOfficer
or The Student Village Reception, once complete, return to your ResidenceOfficer. Please refer to the
LicenceAgreement in this booklet, in regard to your liability.
If you arewithdrawing from study,
you need to provide proof and date of withdrawal from study, this
must be obtained from your School/Faculty. Please refer to the LicenceAgreement in this booklet, in
regard to your liability.
If you are vacating your room to live off campus,
you need to obtain/complete and return aVacate
Residences Form (as above), and you also need to complete a Residences Liability Form fromThe
Student Village Reception. Please refer to the LicenceAgreement in this booklet, in regard to your liability.
