‘We are always keen to keep
our costs down and so to
reduce our gas bill by 21%
and electricity by 31% and
for it to save us over £5,000
is fantastic.’
KeyAchievements in 2015/16:
z
We continue topromote our scheme to help reduce the overheads of our
BIDbusinesses by looking at insurance, gas, electricity and telecoms bills.
z
Amajor role in 2015/16 has been the need to raise awareness toBID
businesses of the proposedWorcesterWoodsRetail Park. Our involvement
has been to survey and generally communicatewith businesses, lobby
Councillors, workwith landlords andother stakeholderswith vested interests
in thewelfare of the city centre, arrange and hostmeetingswith traders and
partners, addressmedia enquiries, encourage comments on the application,
and toprovide updates to all stakeholders. This has been amajor project
which has demonstrated the need for theBID to have a degree of flexibility
in the demands on its time anddelivery on other projects.
